Hi, I’m Jamel Roy.

I’ve spent the last 9 years in the moving industry, and I’ve learned that a great move is about more than moving boxes and furniture. It’s about trust, attention to detail, and taking pride in the work you do.

I started Big Moose Moving to build a company around those principles. A company where customers know their belongings are handled with care and every move is completed the right way.

Yes. We provide commercial moving services for offices, retail spaces, and businesses throughout the Triangle. Our team carefully plans each relocation to minimize disruption, protect your equipment and belongings, and help your business transition smoothly.

Big Moose Moving can safely move most household and commercial belongings. However, for safety, regulatory, and liability reasons, there are certain items we cannot transport, including:

  • Ammunition and firearms

  • Gasoline, propane, and other flammable materials

  • Paint, chemicals, solvents, and hazardous materials

  • Open liquids or containers that could leak

  • Aerosol containers

  • Compressed gas cylinders

  • Perishable or frozen food items

  • Live plants across state lines

Some specialty items require additional planning before moving. Items such as oversized safes, pianos, trampolines, playsets, and other large or unique pieces should be discussed with our team ahead of time.

We do not move baby grand pianos due to the specialized equipment and handling required. Grandfather clocks must have the pendulum and weights removed before transport.

Our movers are experienced with more complex furniture systems, including Sleep Number beds, adjustable bases, platform beds with drawers, and other specialty pieces. We take the time to rebuild your furniture correctly and ensure everything is properly set up and ready to use before we leave.
